Data for 2015 showed that exports of strong alcohol products from Russia decreased by 40%.
The numbers are relevant in relation to vodka and alcoholic beverages.
The main reason for the fall of exports is called political differences. First of all, the deterioration of relations between Russia and Ukraine, which remained one of the largest consumers of Russian alcohol until 2014, affected the current situation. Over the past two years, sales fell 10 times. Also, the level of international exports was affected by the devaluation of the national currency of Azerbaijan, which occurred in 2015.
