- 41 kcal in raw onions and it does not contain fats at all;
- 37 kcal in boiled onion;
- if the onions are fried, its caloric content jumps to 251 units;
- and only 19 kcal is in green onions.
In addition, onions are dried, while its caloric content is 219 units. But pickled onions, which are often added to salads, contain only 19 kcal.
