How to remove the horrors?
Terrible cinema is one of the most sought-after cinema genres. Every year, movies and scripts are becoming more realistic and chilling blood. How to shoot horror movies, as the directors achieve a similar effect? In order to make the film first-class, the producers use several ways at once to scare the viewer.
Did you notice how much music and household sounds mean for a movie? In order to achieve the effect of "start" you need to insert a sound effect in time. So, the inducing music and then a loud chord deduce almost any viewer from a relaxed state. To achieve the desired sound, sound engineers go to tricks. For example, they record the sound of a breaking dry branch - this is similar to breaking bones. Squashy sound can be extracted from soft, juicy vegetables or fruits. Some sound artists achieve the effect by loudly piercing tomatoes or watermelons.
Since the horrors are being filmed and the professionals are being voiced by them, you should not be surprised that music that is capable of causing awe and unaccountable anxiety is written specifically for such films.
A person is cut into pieces, beetles or worms swiftly gnaw the skin, leaving the bones, a huge shark bites off his hand ... The list of such pictures can be continued. All this happens only on the screen, in life it is more and more technological and extremely expensive. How do horrors in film studios?
Today, computer technology plays an enormous role, including in the filming of horror films. It is much cheaper and easier to draw a scary picture than to create it with the help of expensive props. However, the dolls (puppets or mechanical) continue to bear their service in the cinema. After all, with the help of appropriate software, they can be “brought to mind” afterwards.
Very often, in order for the monster to turn out alive and characteristic, a costume is created that the actor puts on. For example, in the movie “Predator”, several costumes were made for the main character, the actor Kevin Hall. First, the artist created a sketch of the monster (the so-called concept art), then a copy was taken from the body of the actor. And only then was the costume created, which should be not only spectacular, but also comfortable enough for performing tricks.
But the film "Alien", which completed a four-part story about alien monsters, differs from the first three parts using computer technology. In the fourth part, the creature can move and appear in the frame completely, without hiding behind fake furniture or in dense shadow. Although some fans of the epic did not like this innovation.
To tell how to make horror movies, it is worth remembering about makeup. Make-up is just a panacea, so to say the basis of the visual effect of any horror film. For example, Freddy Kruger, who came to the victims in a dream, was created with the help of a special make-up and latex stickers on the face. Since “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is a low-budget movie, and filming took only a month, to actor Robert Inglad (who played Freddie), this makeup was applied once a day. Robert had with this "burned" face to eat and rest between the filming of scenes.
It's amazing what directors and artists are capable of making the viewer afraid. A good movie, regardless of the genre has the right to life.
